Breitling completely rethought the Superocean Heritage line for its 2025 launch in Biarritz — the chronograph shrinks from 44 to 42 mm, a difference you notice the moment it's on the wrist. Lug-to-lug at 49.56 mm, case thickness 14.55 mm: a meaningful step down from the AB0162 predecessor series. The Calibre B01 carries over, and for anyone who knows Breitling, that's an immediate selling point — an in-house chronograph movement, COSC-certified, with a 70-hour power reserve.
## Two Registers Instead of Three — A Deliberate Simplification
The new chronograph layout manages with two registers where the predecessor ran three. For some collectors that's a loss of readability; for most, it makes the dial considerably cleaner. The AB0156 variant with the green dial (Heritage Chrono Green) and navy ceramic bezel has the strongest visual coherence. The Reverse Panda version caters to the opposite taste — black dial, black ceramic. Four dial options in total: Green, Blue, Reverse Panda, and Two-Tone.
