The Superocean Heritage AB3111161C1S1 marks a shift in 2025 that I've rarely seen so clearly in twenty years in the trade. Its predecessor, the Superocean Heritage II, take the reference AB201012, ran on the B20, a modified ETA base movement. Now the case houses the B31, Breitling's first ever in-house three-hand caliber. No more bought-in ébauche — this is a manufacture movement Breitling controls entirely on its own, from timekeeping accuracy to spare parts supply.
## 12.03mm instead of roughly 14mm: what actually matters on the wrist
The second difference isn't in the movement, it's in the case height. The new generation measures 12.03mm, against roughly 14mm for the B20 model.
