Reference WHSA0009 hit the market in the second half of 2019, having been unveiled a few months earlier at SIHH. Internally, Cartier called it the Santos Skeleton Noctambule, while the trade also uses the names Black Santos Skeleton and Santos Noctambule. The launch price was 26,500 francs — a bold figure for a skeletonized movement in an ADLC-coated case, one that clearly positioned it well above the standard Santos line.

The in-house skeleton caliber 9612 MC doubles as the dial itself, which is why the dial carries the internal designation Noctambule-Dial.
