The RBR in the name refers to the diamond bezel set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds in white gold, a bezel variant that sets it clearly apart from the smooth 228239. The watch is powered by the Caliber 3255, the standard movement across the entire Day-Date lineup since its introduction in 2015.
## Ten Dials, Three New Additions Since 2023
Rolex lists ten dial codes for the 228349RBR, ranging from the silver baguette diamond dial 0001 to the meteorite pavé version 0040. The olive green dial 0030 arrived in 2023, though Rolex still hasn't confirmed an exact quarter. It was followed in 2024 by reference 0045, a blue ombré gradient dial and the newest dial option in the lineup to date. Rolex.com now also lists a further sub-reference from 2025, m228349rbr-0046, though its dial details haven't been fully documented yet.

Anyone checking a 228349RBR on the secondary market should always match the dial code and bezel version against the ten known variants. With the 48-diamond bezel in particular, rework tends to show up first in the facets of the setting, rarely on the dial itself. Three new dials in three years, 2023 through 2025, make this one of the most active Day-Date lines out there.
Brand profile: Rolex
